How to Find a Good Doctor for Hypothyroid, Hormone, and Adrenal Treatment

How to find a good doctor is the biggest question people ask me. First, you have to know what I mean by a “good doctor.” A good doctor is someone who:

  • Listens to your symptoms
  • Will let you increase your medicine dose based on body temperature rising, and elimination of hypothyroid symptoms
  • Looks at the lab results for FREE T3 and FREE T4 (instead of TSH alone)
  • Is willing to run tests for vitamin deficiencies, hormone imbalances and adrenal fatigue

Please keep in mind, a good doctor is on your side and should be treated with kindness and respect. Doctors don’t know everything, but some know more than others, and some are willing to work with you and expand their understanding. To find a list of good doctors here are some suggestions:

HOTZE HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTER

A patient recently shared that she had great success by going to the Hotze Health & Wellness Center. Unfortunately, she had to travel out of state to see them. But after years of being told she was “fine”, she is finally getting good treatment for hypothyroidism and adrenal fatigue. It’s an expensive path, but according to her it was well worth it. If you try the Hotze Health and Wellness Center let me about your experience so I can share with others. Power to people!

This is a private group to which you can request to join. They are wealth of knowledge and helped me find many answers. They have collected a comprehensive Good Doctor list from patients around the USA. And I believe they have some international sources too.  Joining the group is the only challenge because you need a Yahoo account and then you need to request to join. Click here to join.

ASK YOUR COMMUNITY

Another way to find a good doc is by talking to friends, or asking specialists in your area like massage therapists, herbalists, chiropractors, etc.. Or asking at your local health food store or Co-op. You’re looking for a doctor or physician’s assistant who is considered to be open-minded and has a great reputation.

What is the benefit of using iodine?

According to healthyonline.com, the thyroid (located at the frontal base of the neck) is the key gland that furnishes energy to every cell in the body. Its function is dependent on a balance of nutrients and trace minerals. These include zinc, copper, manganese and especially iodine.

Iodine is an essential nutrient needed for the production of the body's thyroid hormones and is therefore required for normal thyroid function. Thyroid hormones are responsible for our basal metabolic rate (BMR), which reflects the body's use of energy. In addition, they are beneficial for:

    • Normal growth and development
    • Protein synthesis
    • Cholesterol synthesis
    • Carbohydrate absorption
    • Energy metabolism
    • Nerve and bone formation
    • Reproduction
    • The condition of the skin, hair, nails and teeth
    • Speech and mental state
    • Cold hands and feet
