Determined? Yep. I reached a really exciting milestone yesterday. After a year of doing CrossFit (perhaps the hardest workout on the planet) 3-5 days a week for over a year… I did my very first unassisted pull-up. Hanging from the bar, full dead-weight, unassisted pull-up. OMG so exciting. And here are the words that went through my head: “I WANT IT!!“
I think this is the single most powerful phrase in my life. Until that moment, I only kind-of wanted it. But when I made the choice to really want it – like in big bold, capital letters kind of want it — everything came together. And I did it!
Of course, it was a combination of determination and many many hours of effort to become strong enough. But that’s what the thyroid journey has been for me. Staying determined to persevere through the hardest of times. Effort and intention. So I hope this inspires you to keep your high spirits, celebrate every milestone (especially the small ones like this), and stay determined.
When you come to an obstacle, whatever it is, remember to make choice and say: “I WANT IT!!” Hopefully your whole mindset changes. And hopefully it will make you really happy.
loves & xoxo
PS – This is Crossfit. Yep I climb ropes and lift big barbells. Ten years ago I could never have done this 🙂 BUT, if you have untreated adrenal fatigue and untreated thyroid wait until your body is strong before trying this kind of workout. And of course consult a good doctor.
